"They came together. Wave and stone, Poetry and prose, ice and fire. Not so different from each other..." A.S. Pushkin. At first this modular two-panel diptych was conceived as a personification of Yin and Yang, as a game of contrasts between two earthly principles. As a combination of hot and warm Yang masculine qualities such as: boldness, courage, pressure and passion, with feminine coolness, softness, tenderness and the glow of the midnight moon. As I worked on the paintings, lines from the novel "Eugene Onegin" came to mind. And in general this work in oil turned out very easy - it was easily and quickly thought up and brought to life. It took very little time from its idea to the final brushstroke. And it is permeated with the music of Ilya Beshevli and Abel Korzeniowski - I only wanted to write it following the instrumental masterpieces of the two masters of our time.
